Beaches
The Costa Blanca, or “White Coast,” stretches south from the Alicante province in the Valencian Community to the neighbouring region of Murcia. Renowned for its golden sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and over 300 days of sunshine each year, it remains one of Spain’s most popular holiday destinations for both Spanish and international visitors.
Many of the Costa Blanca’s most beautiful beaches are within easy reach of Pondo Rosa Villas via the main coastal road (N332). The region is home to 38 Blue Flag beaches, recognised for their exceptional water quality, cleanliness, safety, and environmental standards, giving visitors plenty of choice for relaxing, swimming, and enjoying the Mediterranean coastline.

Markets & Shopping
Dolores is a charming and vibrant traditional Spanish town, located just a few minutes from Pondo Rosa Villas. It offers everything you need during your stay, including supermarkets, local shops, pharmacies, banks, cafés, traditional tavernas, and a great selection of restaurants.
The picturesque Plaza de Dolores is well worth a visit, featuring its beautiful church, ornamental fountains, and children’s play area. It is the heart of the town, where many local fiestas, festivals, and community events take place throughout the year, giving visitors a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic Spanish culture.
If you’re looking for larger shopping centres, retail parks, or designer outlets, you’ll find plenty of options just a short drive away. The Costa Blanca is also famous for its traditional weekly street markets, where you can browse fresh local produce, clothing, crafts, and souvenirs—and perhaps pick up a bargain or two.

The Costa Blanca South offers some of the most fantastic golf courses, even the non famous courses are challenging and of very high standard. Local to us there are several courses and we have selected a few that are the closest.

Towns
Dolores is a beautiful town located in the Vega Baja region of Alicante. It’s just 4km from Almoradi and Catral.
Dolores is just 10km from the nearest Blue Flag beaches of La Marina and Guardamar Dolores is just 4 metres above sea level, where its fertile land has much fruit and produce for exportation and local market sales.
Dolores was founded in 1715 by the Bishop of Cartagena. He was given approximately 40,000m2 of land by the Town Halls of Guardamar and Orihuela to start a town. In 1737 the first stone of the church was laid. In 1795 there were 656 residents, now the population is close to 11,000 residents of lots of nationalities.
